The two part pilot episode of 'Lost' was aired in the U.K on Wednesday 10th August on Channel 4 and will be repeated on Saturday 13th August for those who missed it.
The episodes set new records for Channel 4, attracting 6 million viewers in total. 1.5 million more than the opening episodes of 'Desperate Housewives.'
This could have had something to do with the 4 week advertising compaign here in the U.K which drummed up a lot of curiosity in the show.
Viewers certainly weren't dissappointed. The show got off to a flying start (excuse the pun) and we were treated to polar bears, rogue beasts and a plane crash in the first episode alone.
This show deserves to run and run, a la ER, but whether it will remains to be seen. One things for sure. It will soon have as much sult status here as in the U.S.
